Portraits

Brian completed self-portraits throughout his life, leaving a fascinating record of his own ageing and development as an artist. He also captured the character of his family, first in the drawings he made of his mother and siblings as they sat in the evenings and then in a large collection of paintings of family and friends, completed over many years. He also undertook a number of commissioned portraits.
